The Rebounders is a volunteer group comprised of parents and supporters of the Thomas Worthington High School boy's basketball team. The primary purpose is to support and enhance the overall experience for the student-athletes and the community involved with the basketball program.
The Rebounders are involved in many aspects of the program including the following:
Communication - facilitate effective communication between parents, coaches, school administration, and other invested parties of the program.
Fundraising and Financial Support - organize fundraisers and events to generate funds for the basketball program as well as seek sponsorship from local businesses and supporters.
Financial Responsibility - ensure proper financial management and transparency in handling funds raised and disbursed for the benefit of the basketball program.
Player and Team Support - provide support and recognition to student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
Volunteer Coordination - coordinate parent volunteers for team meals, concessions, special team events, and other activities of the program.
The program is financed through fees, partnerships, and donations. As a 501(c)(3) school organization, donations may be exempt from federal income tax. Monetary donations are accepted via Square.
